Dr. Refills charges a flat $59 for a 30-day refill — no matter how many chronic medications you need. A 90-day supply is $79. One flat fee covers all your meds in a single visit. No insurance required. No subscription. No charge if the refill is not approved.

What medications can be refilled online with Dr. Refills?

Dr. Refills refills chronic and lifestyle medications including blood pressure medications, statins, diabetes medications (including insulin and GLP-1 agonists such as Ozempic and Wegovy continued at your current dose), thyroid medications, antidepressants, ED medications (sildenafil, tadalafil), hair-loss medications (finasteride, minoxidil), and acne/skin medications (tretinoin, spironolactone). A full formulary is available at drrefills.com. Controlled substances are not available, and all refills are continued at your existing stable dose.

How long does it take to get a prescription refill with Dr. Refills?

Most requests are reviewed within a few hours. Once the physician approves the refill and the patient pays the $59 fee, the prescription is sent electronically to the patient's chosen pharmacy within 1 hour. Same-day and after-hours service is available 7 days a week.

Do I need insurance to use Dr. Refills?

No. Dr. Refills is designed for cash-pay patients. The $59 flat fee covers the physician review — no insurance is accepted or required. For the medication itself, patients can use GoodRx, Cost Plus Drugs, Amazon Pharmacy, or their own insurance at the pharmacy.

What states is Dr. Refills available in?

Dr. Refills is currently available to patients located in California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Indiana. The physician is board-certified in Internal Medicine, personally licensed in each of these states except Florida, and registered with the Florida Department of Health as an out-of-state telehealth provider. Prescriptions are sent electronically to any licensed pharmacy in your state.

Can Dr. Refills prescribe controlled substances?

No. Dr. Refills only refills non-controlled chronic medications. Controlled substances such as stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids, and sleep aids are not available through this service. Patients needing controlled substances should see their primary care physician.

Do I need to have seen a doctor before using Dr. Refills?

Yes. Dr. Refills is a refill service only — not a first-prescription service. Patients must already have an established prescription for the medication they want to refill. The service is designed for patients who are already on a stable medication regimen and need a convenient way to continue their treatment.

Q: I forgot to include one of my medications — do I have to pay again?

Not if you tell us within 24 hours of your original request.
