Why Florida is a registration, not a license
Florida lets physicians licensed in another state provide telehealth to patients located in Florida by registering with the Florida Department of Health under section 456.47, Florida Statutes, instead of holding a full Florida medical license. Dr. Nyotowidjojo's registration number is TPME4194. The registration authorizes telehealth care for patients in Florida; it does not permit in-person care in Florida. For a Florida patient, the practical result is the same as in the other ten states: the same physician reviews your request and, if it is appropriate, sends the prescription electronically to your pharmacy.
Common questions
Can you prescribe if I'm traveling?
What matters is where you are physically located when you submit your request, not your home address. If you are in one of the eleven states listed above at that time, we can review your request. If you are in a state that is not listed, or outside the United States, we cannot accept the request until you are back in a listed state.
I live in a listed state but I'm temporarily somewhere else. Can I still use Dr. Refills?
Only if the place you are right now is also one of the listed states. Licensing follows the patient's location at the time of care, so a Texas resident visiting Indiana can be served, but a Texas resident visiting a state that is not listed cannot.
My state isn't listed. Will that change?
We are working to expand to more states. Until a state appears on this page, we cannot accept requests from patients located there.
Does a license mean Dr. Refills can prescribe anything?
No. In every state, Dr. Refills only continues established, non-controlled medications at the dose you already take. We do not prescribe controlled substances, start new medications, or change doses.
